Localization?

We currently have zh_cn and en_us.


Support for Bukkit/Spigot/Paper?

Arclight has full support for Bukkit and Spigot plugins. The Paper API support is in progress, see #47.


Support for OBC/NMS classes?

Yes.


How are the modded materials/entities/etc named?

Replace : to _. For example, tropicraft:bamboo_trapdoor to TROPICRAFT_BAMBOO_TRAPDOOR


Optimizations or Multi-threading

Optimizations will roll out gradually if this project is stable enough.

Multithreading will never be taken into consideration. Forget it. If you really want to, please try this.


Do I need to install both the permission mod and the permission plugin?

No, Arclight has a permission-forward feature. You just need to install one of them. Either installing the mod or the plugin is ok. See the arclight.conf.


Mod loaders

Could I use the custom Forge/NeoForge version?

  • 1.16 You need to download the installer at https://files.minecraftforge.net and install the server in the server folder. If you are in a headless environment, you can run java -jar installer.jar --installServer path/to/server. After installing Forge/NeoForge, you need to rename the new forge-<mc>-<ver>.jar to the default one.

  • 1.18+ After installing Forge, you need to replace libraries/net/minecraftforge/forge/<oldVer>/*_args.txt with libraries/net/minecraftforge/forge/<newVer>/*_args.txt.

    • (The matching path of NeoForge is libraries/net/neoforged/neoforge/<version> .)

Custom forge may bring you extra incompatibility; try with caution.


Could I use the custom Fabric Loader version?

Not yet.


Could I use the custom Fabric API version?

Put the newer fabric API into the mods folder.

For 1.18 / 1.19:

  • HotSpot 17 ~ 18

  • IBM Semeru(OpenJ9) - Not supported due to Forge restriction

For 1.16:

  • HotSpot 1.8 ~ 17

  • IBM Semeru(OpenJ9) 17
